At Sambosh House of Comfort, we are committed to delivering high-quality furniture and excellent customer service. This Return, Exchange, Refund and Trade-In Policy explains the circumstances under which products may be returned, exchanged, repaired, refunded, or accepted under our furniture trade-in programme.
By purchasing products from Sambosh House of Comfort, customers agree to the terms of this Policy.
1. GENERAL POLICY
We encourage customers to carefully inspect all products upon delivery or collection.
If you believe there is an issue with your purchase, you must notify us within the applicable reporting period specified in this Policy.
All requests for returns, exchanges, refunds, repairs, or trade-ins are subject to review, inspection, and approval by Sambosh House of Comfort.
2. ELIGIBLE RETURNS
A return request may be considered where:
• The product delivered is materially different from the item ordered.
• The wrong product was supplied.
• The product arrives with significant damage caused before or during delivery by Sambosh House of Comfort.
• The product contains a verified manufacturing defect.
• The product does not substantially conform to the agreed specifications.
All return requests must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days of delivery or collection.
Proof of purchase must be provided for all return requests.
3. REPORTING DAMAGE OR DEFECTS
Customers should inspect products immediately upon delivery.
Any visible damage, missing parts, shortages, or defects should be reported within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
Failure to report visible issues within this period may result in the claim being declined where evidence suggests the damage occurred after delivery.
For hidden manufacturing defects that could not reasonably be discovered at delivery, customers should notify us promptly after discovery.
Photographs, videos, and supporting information may be requested to assist our investigation.
4. NON-RETURNABLE AND NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS
The following products are generally not eligible for return, exchange, or refund except where required by law or where a verified manufacturing defect exists:
• Custom-made furniture.
• Made-to-order furniture.
• Personalized products.
• Furniture manufactured using customer-provided specifications, measurements, designs, fabrics, colours, or materials.
• Clearance, promotional, discounted, or final-sale items identified as non-returnable.
• Products altered, repaired, modified, or disassembled by persons not authorized by Sambosh House of Comfort.
• Products damaged after delivery due to misuse, negligence, accidents, improper maintenance, environmental conditions, pets, pests, water exposure, or excessive heat.
5. CUSTOM-MADE FURNITURE
Because custom-made furniture is specifically produced according to customer instructions, such orders cannot ordinarily be cancelled once production has commenced.
Deposits paid toward custom-made furniture may be non-refundable where:
• Materials have been purchased.
• Production has begun.
• Labour and manufacturing resources have been allocated to the order.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all measurements, specifications, and instructions supplied to Sambosh House of Comfort are accurate.
6. EXCHANGES
Where approved, Sambosh House of Comfort may offer an exchange instead of a refund.
Exchanges may be permitted where:
• The wrong product was delivered.
• The product contains a verified manufacturing defect.
• The replacement product is available.
Where the replacement item has a higher value than the original item, the customer shall pay the difference before delivery.
Where the replacement item has a lower value, any credit or refund shall be determined by Sambosh House of Comfort in accordance with this Policy.
7. INSPECTION AND RESOLUTION PROCESS
All returned products shall be inspected by Sambosh House of Comfort before any remedy is approved.
Following inspection, we may, at our sole discretion:
• Repair the product;
• Replace the product;
• Replace defective components;
• Offer store credit;
• Approve a partial refund; or
• Approve a full refund where appropriate.
Our decision shall be based on the nature and extent of the issue identified.
8. REFUNDS
Refunds are not automatically available for every return request.
A refund may be approved where:
• A suitable repair is not possible;
• A replacement product is unavailable;
• The issue is determined to be substantial and cannot reasonably be corrected; or
• Sambosh House of Comfort otherwise determines that a refund is the most appropriate remedy.
Approved refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending on banks, payment providers, and financial institutions.
Shipping, delivery, installation, handling, storage, and other service fees may be non-refundable unless the issue was caused solely by Sambosh House of Comfort.
9. RETURN TRANSPORTATION AND COLLECTION
Where a return, exchange, repair, or replacement is approved due to a fault attributable to Sambosh House of Comfort, reasonable transportation costs may be covered by the company.
Where the return arises from customer preference, incorrect customer information, site access issues, measurement errors, or other customer-related reasons, all transportation and logistics costs shall remain the responsibility of the customer.
Customers must not return products without prior authorization from Sambosh House of Comfort.
10. FURNITURE TRADE-IN / SWAP PROGRAMME
From time to time, Sambosh House of Comfort may offer customers the opportunity to exchange eligible used furniture for a discount on the purchase of new furniture.
Participation in the trade-in programme is entirely voluntary and subject to approval.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for trade-in consideration:
• The furniture must belong to the customer.
• The furniture must be free from any ownership disputes or third-party claims.
• The furniture must be structurally safe for handling and transportation.
• The furniture must not contain hazardous materials.
• The furniture must not be heavily infested with termites, bedbugs, rodents, mould, or other pests.
• The furniture must be in a condition that permits inspection and valuation.
Inspection and Valuation
All trade-in furniture shall be inspected before any trade-in discount is approved.
Any estimated trade-in value provided before inspection is provisional and may be revised after assessment.
Sambosh House of Comfort reserves the sole right to determine:
• Whether an item qualifies for trade-in;
• The value assigned to the item;
• The discount offered toward the purchase of new furniture.
Ownership Transfer
Once a trade-in transaction has been completed and the furniture has been surrendered or collected, ownership immediately transfers to Sambosh House of Comfort.
Trade-in transactions cannot be reversed after collection or acceptance.
Trade-In Discounts
Trade-in discounts:
• Are not redeemable for cash;
• Cannot be transferred to another customer;
• Cannot be combined with certain promotional offers unless expressly permitted;
• May only be applied toward qualifying purchases.
Sambosh House of Comfort reserves the right to refuse any trade-in request at its sole discretion.
11. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers are responsible for:
• Providing accurate delivery information;
• Inspecting products upon delivery;
• Following all care and maintenance instructions;
• Ensuring products are used for their intended purpose;
• Ensuring adequate access for delivery and installation;
• Providing accurate measurements where required.
Claims arising from inaccurate information supplied by customers may not qualify for returns, exchanges, or refunds.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sambosh House of Comfort shall not be liable for:
• Normal wear and tear;
• Indirect or consequential losses;
• Loss of use;
• Loss of profits;
• Customer dissatisfaction arising from subjective preferences after purchase;
• Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, unauthorized modifications, improper maintenance, or environmental conditions.
Any approved liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the affected product.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Sambosh House of Comfort reserves the right to amend, update, or modify this Policy at any time.
Any revised version will become effective upon publication on our website.
